Family Mass & Picnic: Toolkit
The Second Annual Family Mass & Picnic for Families with Springs of Love is happening this summer! We invite you to use the following materials to promote this event in your parish, through bulletin announcements, social media, email, and printed flyers.
This event is intended to build community for foster and adoptive families, by bringing together foster, adoptive, and kinship families, families exploring foster care or adoption, and all who want to support them.
When: Saturday, July 25th, 2026 at 5pm
What: Mass followed by picnic, fellowship, games, and parent small groups

Celebrating Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Families
Join us Saturday, July 25, at St. Matthew’s for a joyful evening celebrating foster, adoptive, and kinship families in the Diocese of Columbus. The evening will begin with the 5:00 PM Vigil Mass, followed by a picnic dinner, family-friendly activities, and a chance for adults to connect more deeply through a preview of Building Belonging, Springs of Love’s Catholic small-group program.
Families considering foster care or adoption, as well as parishioners and friends who want to support these families, are warmly invited to attend. Children’s activities will be provided during the adult conversation.
Evening Schedule:
5:00 PM Vigil Mass
6:00 PM Picnic dinner and family fellowship
6:45 PM Building Belonging preview and small-group conversation for adults
Children’s activities provided during the adult session
