Springs of Love Foster Teams are a central part of our mission at springsoflove.org. Our vision is to create Foster Teams in parishes around the country that will offer wrap-around support to foster families. This support will include prayer, meals, childcare, rides, mentoring, and material support. Springs of Love Foster Teams can also host foster and adoption awareness events in their parishes, inspiring more Catholics to consider fostering and adoption, and addressing many of the misconceptions people have about foster care.
Sadly, about 50% of foster families stop fostering after one year. However, that the retention rate increases to 90% when those families are supported by a care team in their community.
