A Prayer for Birth Moms
Please join us in praying for Birth Moms, thankful for their strength and sacrifice, their courage in choosing life, and for the beautiful children they have brought into this world.
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for the beautiful mothers who bring love into the world with the birth of their children. We ask that You shower down Your protection and blessings on all birth mothers, those women whose wombs bore a child who would one day be raised by another. We pray for women who chose adoption, entrusting their own flesh to another’s arms. We pray for women who had no choice, but who were unable to parent because of their circumstances.
Merciful Jesus, who were Yourself fostered on earth by St. Joseph, run with open arms to embrace any birth mother who right now finds herself in a moment of doubt or shame or guilt or self-loathing. Show her she is not alone. Fill any wounds with the salve of Your blazing love that knows no limits.
Dear Mama Mary, be a mother now to any woman who, while so truly a mother, is not raising the child she bore. Wrap your mantle of protection around her. Hold her in your arms whenever she may long to hold in hers the child she cannot now embrace.
Lord Jesus, come to any birth mother who is now in pain and fill her with the true peace that only You can give. Comfort her heart so that she may know that she will forever be imprinted in the heart of her child and that her sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Adopted Childrens’ Prayer for Their Birth Mother
Dear Jesus,
Please bless my birthmom. Help her be strong in the Lord.
Let her always know that I love her and that she is loved by Jesus.
May the angels in Heaven protect her.
